What’s Happening in the Library?

Posted by Laura Losch on September 20, 2008

This past week I began teaching a mini-lesson to the 8th graders on expository writing. All you 8th graders out there – I hope you now know what expository writing is and several examples. For this mini-lesson, instead of listening to me talk and talk and talk, we played expository writing musical chairs. It took a couple of rounds of musical chairs for each class to remember how to play musical chairs, (who doesn’t know to keep moving until the music stops??) but when we got going, it sure was fun. I even had a conga line working in Mrs. Anderson/Mrs. Rogers’s Language Arts class last Thursday. Here’s some pictures from Mr. Westbrook’s class moving and shaking to a little Journey on the CD player.
