Pennies for Pages – Going on Now!

Posted by Laura Losch on October 22, 2008

That’s right – Pennies for Pages is on! I hope you’ve already gathered your pledges from friends and relatives, because tomorrow is the big day. Tomorrow and Friday you need to keep track of the number of pages you read during school. It could be a chapter book, a magazine, or even your good old textbook.

This weekend and next Monday you need to gather the donations from your pledges for the amount they agreed to pay per page you read. Even though it’s called Pennies for Pages, your pledges can certainly pay in dollar bills if so desired. All money needs to be turned in to your homeroom teacher or Mrs. Losch in the media center by Wednesday morning. The student raising the most “pennies” will win a $25 gift certificate to the Book Fair!

So read as many pages of books as you can tomorrow and Friday! Good luck!
